Ballingarry had one point to spare over Carrick Swan in the Halls Alarm South U21 football B championship quarter final in Mullinahone on Saturday last when conditions were excellent for football and both teams played good attractive football.

But with nearly four minutes of injury time for a Jack Fennelly shoulder dislocation on the stroke of full time, it was Ballingarry who had the last say when centre back and captain Gerry Fitzgerald made a great run up field and found James Logue who neatly struck the ball over the onrushing back and into the top corner of the net for the winning score.
Best for Ballingarry were Gerry Fitzgerald, James Logue 2-2, Dara Ivors 1-0 and Jack Fennelly 0-1.
It was a gallant performance from Carrick Swans having scored 11 times with some great points.
