Sweeney Todd runs from Saturday, February 27 to Saturday, March 6 and tickets are €20, with concession €15 on Monday, March 1. Phone (051) 645050 and credit card facilities are available. Sweeney Todd is a huge production and, as is usual with Carrick Shows, booking will be very heavy so early booking is advisable.

Society patrons are responding, as usual, in great numbers to the annual Society appeal Society patrons subscribe €60 and receive two tickets to the production on February 28, or an evening of their choice, an invitation to the after-show reception in the Carraig Hotel on February 28th and an opportunity to book extra tickets for family and friends, before the official booking opens.

On the musical side, musical director Fergal Carroll and chorus mistress Catriona O'Dwyer are delighted with progress on Stephen Sondheim's gigantic score. The Society sends congratulations to Derek Ryan, playing the lead role of the Beast in Tipperary Musical Society's Beauty and the Beast all this week. Next week, Derek will be back to rehearse in Carrick, where he plays the part of evil Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd.
