The first group of children started pre-school at the Cahir Park Preschool on Monday, August 27.

With the first two weeks over now, both parents and children are delighted how well the children have settled into their new surroundings. The pre-school room is looking very well, thanks to the kind donations of toys from parents, friends and indeed the children themselves.

With such wonderful weather over the last two weeks, they have been doing lots of activities outdoors, and they are lucky to have Cahir Park’s all weather pitch to run around and enjoy. With all the exercise the children are getting they will be ready for the Olympics in no time!

The preschool would like to thank the Lions Club for their generous donation, which will enable them to buy a lovely new table for the arts and crafts room. They would also like to thank Cahir Post Office for their donation of a phone for the pre-school. Everyone involved with the new preschool really does appreciate the great community spirit that is there in the town of Cahir.

Last but by no means least, a very big ‘thank you’ to Marguerite Butler (daughter of Liam and Laura) who did amazing art work for the preschool. She is indeed a very talented young lady and we will be keeping an eye on her artistic progress in the future. We wish her the best as she enters Transition Year in the Colaiste.
