Crehana schoolchildren prepare for First Holy Communion
Crehana National Schoool congratulates its second class students, who began their First Penance and First Holy Communion preparation with their enrolment ceremony at the Parish Church in Carrickbeg on Sunday.
The Holy Communion class are: Shaunagh Doherty, Leah Kiely, Caoimhe O’Shea, Sean Cahill, Josh Hegarty, Ronan Phelan, Eoin Joy, James Brett, AJ Diffily, Ross McCarthy, Conor Keyes, Rory Walsh, Elliott Reade and Kyle Dowley.
The school’s third and sixth class students enjoyed a trip to The Strand Theatre last Friday, January 28 to support Comeragh College’s Variety Show.
Meanwhile, the school congratulates Jake Vermeer, who won silver and bronze medals in a running event in Nenagh recently, and Daniel Smith, who has qualified for the Munster karate squad in his age group.
Emma Norris, Elaine O’Connell, Walter Comerford and Kieran Guiry are continuing their involvement in the Options Programme with the Irish Red Cross branch in Portlaw.
The children have already completed their bronze medal section and are making steady progress towards achieving their silver medals.
