Daffodil Day launch in Cashel

Cashel Daffodil Committee and volunteers held a very successful launch in Foley’s Bar, Friar Street, last Wednesday. Annette Tartan of the Irish Cancer Society Community Health Education Programme (CHEP) spoke.

She gave a very informative talk on the factors that influenced cancer mortality.

Annette also spoke about how a healthy lifestyle could reduce one third of cancers. For example stop smoking, eat fruit and vegetables, take regular exercise and reduce weight.

A special word of thanks to Lucy and Eamon Foley who provided teas and coffee and refreshments in very pleasant surroundings. Also thanks to David O’Brien who supplied those at the launch with beautiful buns.
