Friends of Ballingarry GAA Golf Classic: Our 16th Annual Golf Classic takes place in Callan Golf Club on Friday/Saturday May12 and 12.
Congrats to Mary Brennan, Foyle, on her marriage to Gary Sweeney, Loughmore, on Friday last at the Church of the Assumption, Ballingarry. The Celebrant was Fr. Derry Quirke. Bridesmaids: Lorraine Sweeney; Best Man: Jody Sweeney; Groomsman: Evan Sweeney; Page Boy: Cormac Boylan; Flower Girl: Aoife O’Donnell; Readers: Annette O’Donnell/Tommy Sweeney; Prayers of the Faithful: Timmy Gleeson, John Phelan, Mary McGarvey, Ciara Kelly, Thomas Power, Ray Greed. Offertory Procession: Kathleen Gleeson / Joan Sweeney; Communion Reflection: Maria McFadden; Music: The O’Connell Sisters. The Reception was held in the Ormond Hotel, Kilkenny, and a great time was had by all.

The Old School, The Commons
The Old School are delighted to announce their official opening on Saturday, June 30. We are planning a weekend of celebrations, which includes a Vintage Car & Tractor run on Sunday July 1 followed by an evening of music to honour our great Bodhran Player, Roundy Lawlor. Further details in the coming weeks.
Ballingarry Tidy Towns

If anybody requires any assistance, please do not hesitate to let the Tidy Towns Committee know, as we are all aiming to achieve the same goal. We would like to thank all those who have volunteered their time, over the past weeks. Improvements are evident, and being commented on. Once again a sincere thank you to each and everyone who helped in any way to make our Tractor / Vintage Car Run the major success that it was. At the end of May, we are hoping to organise a General Parish-wide weekend Clean-up, where the residents of each road will be expected to play their part. More on that next week.

Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser
On Sunday last there was a stop off at the GAA field for The 3 Ballingarry motor bike run in aid of Cystic Fibrosis. A large crowd turned up to support the event and to view the many bikes on show. There was a great response from the locals to the fundraising which took place in the carpark.
