WHIST DRIVE

Whist Drives will resume in Drangan on the August Bank Holiday Monday, August 6,with the proceeds going to Sr. Kathleen O ‘Brien’s mission in Cameroon. Sr. Kathleen is currently on holidays in her native Cloneen where she is assembling a container of clothes and other useful.

On Monday week last our Junior footballers defeated Clonmel Commercials by 2-11 to 1-7 in a championship game played in Kilsheelan. The team was: Marcus O’Halloran, Keith Browne, Colm Dunne, Eamon Needham, Patrick Moroney,Conor Barry Shane Gorey, Darren Meagher, Nicky Kearney, Mark Slattery, Tony O’Brien, Eoghan McCormack, John Moroney, Paul Horan, William O’Brien. Subs were: Brendan Gleeson and Mark Mullally.

Last Saturday evening our minor hurlers were defeated by Killenaule who scored 2-12 to our 3-8 in a game which we should have won.

The team was: Cathal Mahoney, Willie O Brien, Ivan Brett, Cathal O’Donovan, Mark Mullally, Conor Clancy, Jonathan Hickey, Nicky Kearney, Mark Slattery, Aidan Buckley, James Buckley, Conor Cuddihy, Darren Boland, Brendan Gleeson, Darragh Wilson. Subs were: Ciarán Mockler, Conor Gorey, Tony Smyth, Kieran O Brien.

This Wednesday, July 25, our minor hurling combination St. Patricks Gaels play Ballybacon-Grange at 7.30 in Clonmel Sportsfield.

On this Sunday, July 29, our Junior B Hurlers play St. Marys at 12 noon in Ned Hall Park Clonmel.

On Tuesday, July 31, our Junior Footballers play Ardfinnan at 7pm in Kilsheelan.

On Saturday last our under 12 hurlers were defeated by Mullinahone. The team was Adam Cuddihy, Jack Meagher, Quinn Moran, Conor Duggan, Darragh Hall, Seán Ryan, Frank Meagher, Niamh Keane, Caoimhe Ryan, Pauric O Brien, James Fitzgerald, Dale Murphy, Patrick Griffin, Mikey O’Brien, Eoghan Fitzgerald.

This Saturday our under 12 hurlers play Kilsheelan-Kilcash at 12 noon in Kilsheelan.

On this Thursday our under 14 hurlers play Fethard at 7.15pm in Fethard.

On Monday, July 30, our under 16 hurlers play Carrick Swans at 7.15pm in Anner Park Cloneen.
