KILFEACLE PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP

Kilfeacle parent and toddler group will hold its annual big toddle for Barnardos on Saturday, June 23, at 2pm in Kilfeacle. Sponsorship cards are available from the group which continues to meet every Wednesday morning from 9.45am to 11.45am in Kilfeacle community centre. New members always welcome.

GOLDEN NATIONAL SCHOOL 75TH ANNIVERSARY

Reminder - mass at 6.30pm followed by refreshments in the school on June 23 and launch of ‘Golden Days.’

JUVENILE GAA

Cul Camp registration night will be held on June 20 in Golden Hall 7.30 To 8.30. This is for people who are not registering online.

Pride of place this week goes to the Thomastown primary school U13 hurlers who captured the county title last Thursday on the field of legends - Semple Stadium. Thomastown went to Thurles with great confidence to take on the opposition Lissenhall (Silvermines)and started the match at a blistering pace and kept that pace up for a full 40 mins to win 8-13 to Lissenhall 1-1.

The jubilant scenes after the final whistle will never be forgotten by the players and supporters. The captain Niall Heffernan received the trophy on behalf of the team and thanked everybody involved this year. The team went back to McDonalds for a well deserved meal. This team were unbeaten all year in both football and hurling and special mention must go to manager Siobhan Condon assisted by Mitchell Heffernan and Helen Price.

QUEEN OF THE SUIR FESTIVAL

Golden Kilfeacle Queen of the Suir festival will take place from June 27 to July 1. Nicole Flynn (Cashel) and Silvija Aleknaviciute (Cashel) have been confirmed as entrants to the Queen of the Suir competition.

Celebrity male models for the fashion show (Friday, June 29) are Pat McBride, Michael Doyle, Kevin Landy, Dougie Blackford, Willie Lawrence, Martin Kane, James O’Connell, Christopher Ryan, Thomas Burns and Christopher Ryan.

Fashion show organisers are delighted to announce our fabulous line-up of shops taking part in the fashion show: Touch of Class (Cahir), Pagent (Tipp), Kilkenny Shop (Cashel), En Paris (Tipp), Koko (Cashel), O’Dwyer’s Fashions (Cashel), Cashel Wool Store, and O’Dwyer Children’s (Cashel).

Committee are requesting donations for Sunday’s ‘pick-s-straw’ (Alice Carroll) and field day auction (Michael Fitzgerald) - contact any of the committee.
