GRANGE ROAD HURLING

The committee of Grange Tidy Villages Project would like to thank all those who took part in a very successful day of road hurling which took place on June 10 last. A great day was had by all with 32 teams of three taking part on the day, almost double the amount from last year. We would like to thank our sponsors for their most generous contributions and also to all those who helped in any way on the day and especially those who catered for teas and sandwiches in the hall for this day. The winners of the second Annual Grange Road Hurling were ‘The Phelans’, who comprised of John Phelan, Michael Phelan and Seán Phelan, and the runners up were ‘Ballybacon-Grange Hurling Club’, who comprised of Jackie Walshe, Darragh Flynn and James English. A signed Tipperary jersey was raffled on the day sponsored by Michael Murphy. The winner of the jersey was Brian Lonergan. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.

TIDY VILLAGES PROJECT

Judging of the village will be taking place in the coming fortnight. There is an increased need for all volunteers to keep their areas tidy and clean in the village and surrounding roads. We will be meeting tonight, Wednesday, June 20, at 7.30pm at Grange Hall to do a rubbish pick and to tidy up the area also. Many volunteers are needed and your help would be greatly appreciated.

FOROIGE CLUB

Our club has been re-established since last September and what a thriving group we have. We have a membership of over 25 youths, aged 12-15. It is a great way of meeting up with your friends that have gone to different schools. We run every Friday night from 7.30pm to 9pm. We will be restarting again this coming September and we would like to invite all new members to come along. We go to many events such as an Interclub event that was held in Ballyporeen in May and we also held our own interclub disco on June 8th where several local ForÓige clubs came along. We will be going on our summer trip on July 7th to Trabolgan Adventure Centre! We would like to take this opportunity to thank the leaders of the club who without them this club would not exist for us. We would like to say goodbye and wish our Club Leader, Alan Hally, all the best in his new teaching position in Abu Dhabi this coming August. If anyone over the age of 18 would like to get involved as a leader, please contact Sharon on 0874120893.
