Musical Society prepares for Performing Arts Academy’s new term
Carrick-on-Suir Musical Society’s Performing Arts Academy will be back in action next month.
Classes will resume on Thursday, September 6 at their usual time from five to seven.
To facilitate the large numbers attending the Academy, student can register at the theatre on Thursday, August 16 from 2pm to 4pm; Thursday, August 23 from 2pm to 4pm; Thursday and August 30 from 2pm to 4pm at The Strand Theatre Box Office.
Spaces are limited, so to avoid disappointment it is important that all students are registered before the start date of September 6.
The Society will have several anniversaries to celebrate in 2013.
It will be the Society’s 70th year and it is poised to stage its hundredth production next March.
It will also be the 10th anniversary of the Society owning the Strand Theatre.
The committee has been busy during the summer planning events for next year, picking the panto for later this year and also the spring show. There are also other events planned, which will be announced later.
