New year babies
Proud parents Michael and Mary O'Brien, from Clonoulty, were pictured at South Tipperary General Hospital with their new baby girl Emma - she was the first baby born in South Tipp in 2013.
It was a ‘girl power’ start to the year for the maternity ward at South Tipperary General Hospital with three baby girls being welcomed on New Year’s Day.
The first baby to be born in South Tipp this year was little Emma O’Brien.
Baby Emma made an early entrance into the world, she was born at 4.47am to delighted mammy Mary and daddy Michael, from Clonoulty.
The maternity staff had a bit of a break before the next little lady arrived. On Tuesday afternoon, at 12.29pm, Helen Eabha Walsh arrived to her doting parents Marie Long Walsh and Richard Walsh. The family are from Cashel.
As the first day of the year came to a close a third little girl came along. Baby Bridget is doing well for her mammy Ann Marie Delaney from Cahir, following her arrival at 8.25pm.
