Playgroup hosts family fun day to celebrate its 25th birthday

Clonea/Rathgormack Community Playgroup’s family fun day to celebrate its 25th anniversary was attended by past, present and future pupils of the playgroup and their parents.

The celebration in the parish hall in Clonea, where the playschool is based, was blessed with glorious weather last Sunday.

Margaret, Gemma and Cait welcomed a large crowd of people to the fun day where the kids could bounce away the afternoon on the bouncy castles, paint pictures in the art corner, sit and listen to stories told by the story teller or get their faces painted.

The adults sat and relaxed in the sunshine with plenty of refreshments to enjoy or they could look at all the photographs on display of the children that have passed through the playschool over the past 25 years.

This celebration acknowledged the huge role Clonea/Rathgormack Community Playgroup has played in the lives of so many children and their families in the area over the past 25 years.

The organisers wish to thank all who helped to make the celebrations a great success.

All involved are looking forward to the next 25 years caring for the young children of Clonea/Rathgormack.
