Swan Club news

The annual general meeting of Carrick Swan GAA Club will take place this Friday (November 23) in the old club rooms at 8pm Nomination papers for election of officers and motions for proposal at the agm are available on-line on the Club’s website or from any committee member in advance of the meeting.

The Club hopes all members and adult players will be in attendance.

Officers from Carrick Swan Club recently met with county GAA board officials to commence a programme to formulate a strategic five year plan.

The Club now invites all supporters to a club planning workshop on Friday, November 30 in the juvenile centre at 8pm. It is an open meeting for all with an interest in Carrick Swan.

It is hoped the workshop will gather ideas and formulate these into a strategic plan that will set goals and direction for the club over the next five years. Topics such as coaching and games development, structures and administration, finance and fundraising, PR and communications, grounds and facilities will be covered.

All Swan underage teams will take a break from indoor training over the coming weeks and all panels will be notified.

A medals presentation for all young boys and girls will take place on Friday, November 30 in the juvenile centre at 6.30pm in advance of the planning workshop. Parents and family members are welcome to attend.

Numbers drawn in last week’s juvenile lotto were 11, 13, 22 and 27.

The €2,000 jackpot prize in the juvenile lotto draw wasn’t won last week. Six players matched three numbers to win €40 each. Carrick Swan Club thanks all those who play the lotto and reminds those who might like to join that weekly entry costs €2. This can be paid to any committee member or to any lotto promoter, who will call to collect each week. This week’s jackpot prize is €2,250.

Lotto players continued support helps the Club provide for all its juvenile players and is very much appreciated by all in the Swan Club.
