Clonmel’s got a lot of talent

The response to Clonmel’s Got Talent, organised by Clonmel Commercials Gaelic Football Club, has been overwhelming, with over 150 entries already received. The White Memorial Theatre is definitely the place to be for the month of February and early March, as young people from Clonmel and surrounding areas battle it out in front of a live audience.

Professional judges will have the difficult and no doubt heart-wrenching task of cutting down the acts for the Grand Final in March. Singers, jugglers, dancers, bands, comedians and rappers are just a flavour of the entertainment to come.

There will be preliminary rounds for the Primary School entrants on this Saturday, 11th and Sunday, 12th Febuary from 2pm to 5pm in the White Memorial. These will be followed by three rounds of Saturday nights, including all other entrants, a semi final and then the Grand Final. Over the next week all those who entered will be notified of their allocated times. Tickets cost just €5 with special family rates available.

There’s now much more than a cash prize at stake - it’s pride of school, pride of place and personal pride that’s paramount. Be there to watch the crowning of the Best Primary School Talent Winner and the Best Secondary School Talent Winner.
