Dance auditions for Chess

St. Mary’s Choral Society are currently in rehearsal for Chess, their next production. The show has a requirement for dancers for two contemporary dances and opens auditions will be held on Monday, 20th February at the On Your Toes Dance Studio, Crann Ard, Fethard Road, Clonmel at 8.30pm.

Gymnastic ability is a bonus but not essential. Dancers will only appear in the two dance numbers and won’t be members of the overall show cast. Over 18s, Transition Year and 5th Year students only may apply. No exam year students will be allowed to audition.

Dances will be exclusively choreographed by Majella Louise Fitzgerald at an intensive weekend workshop. Please message Gillian on (086)8935294 if you wish to attend.

Meanwhile auditions have been held for the principal roles in the production and the full cast will be announced next week.

As part of the fundraising efforts for Chess, the society will hold a table quiz on Thursday, 15th March in Liam Daly’s Lounge, O’Connell Street, Clonmel.
