Funky Friday at Powerstown

Clonmel Races look forward to welcoming girl group ‘Red Vixen’ to Powerstown Park on Friday June 15. The girls will provide the musical entertainment in the Club Stand Bar after racing on what is being themed the ‘Funky Friday BBQ Race Evening’. It is four years since Clonmel raced on a Friday evening and marketing manager Eugene Cooney is hoping that it will prove popular with those looking for something to do at the end of the working week.

Special all-in tickets are now on sale. These cost €25 and include admission, race card, BBQ meal and €5 drink voucher making them great value The tickets must be pre-purchased – contact Eugene on 052 6188508. Normal admission can also be paid at the entrance on the day and as always at Clonmel there is no charge for children U-16.

For those who wish to follow the Euro 2012 matches, these will be shown on the TV in the Club Stand Bar. The first of seven National Hunt Races will get underway at 5.40pm.
