The wit and wisdom of Oscar Wilde never fails to entertain as Brewery Lane Theatre’s production of “The Importance of Being Earnest” showed last week.
Wilde’s famous satirical comedy on Victorian society, directed by Roseanne Glascott, was booked out most nights during its week long run at the Carrick-on-Suir theatre.
And the punters gave the Brewery Lane Drama Group’s interpretation of the play a firm thumbs up, particularly the acting peformances from the cast that included Maria Clancy, Colm Power, David Grant, Julie Anne Denby, Enda O’Driscoll, Claire O’Sullivan, Dennis Barry, Paula O’Dwyer and Jim English.
The production finished its seven night run at Brewery Lane last Saturday night. Theatre fans, who missed the show in Carrick-on-Suir, will get a second chance to see the Brewery Lane Drama Group actors stage the production again at the Abbeymill Theatre in Fethard this Sunday, April 10.
