Local agents help make your travel dreams come true

Local travel agents Rosemary Chawke, Nicola Norris and Lynne Keane who run their own travel businesses as part of leading independent travel company Travel Counsellors, have launched a campaign to make travel dreams come true following research that suggests over 70% of people are yet to make their ideal trip.

In a recent survey conducted by Travel Counsellors, completed by over 1,800 respondents, 68% agreed that our dreams make us who we are, but just 30% of people claimed to have actually taken their ‘dream’ trip, with 71% of those saying it met all their expectations.

With over two thirds of people yet to fulfil their travel dreams, citing work and family commitments plus time and budget restraints as the most popular reasons, the local agents have launched a dedicated app to allow people to share their travel dreams and be in with a chance of winning €12,000 to make it come true.

Rosemary Chawke from Clonmel says; “We have launched this campaign because we feel that people can often lose sight of their dreams in their busy day to day lives, and as our businesses focus on personal service and making people’s dreams come true we feel we are in a lucky position to be able to make a difference. As a result, this week we have launched a special Dream-maker App, hosted on Facebook, which allows people to submit their dream holiday with the chance to win €12,000 towards their perfect break. It really can be anything, from a round-the-world adventure to your own desert-island getaway, there’s no limit to what people can submit as their dream.”

Nicola Norris from Ballymacarbry explains how it works; “Dreamers” can visit Facebook (http://apps.facebook.com/tcdreammaker or search for the “Dream-maker” to submit their own dream alongside pictures. They can then ask all of their family and friends to vote for them to win. After voting takes place for the best submission the most popular dream will win the ultimate prize of the perfect holiday worth €12,000. Visitors can also gain travel inspiration from a dedicated area within the site, showcasing unforgettable experiences such as becoming a real cowboy in the Montana desert to enjoying a celebrity lifestyle with a private butler and chef in an exclusive Caribbean hideaway”.

Lynne Keane from Carrick-on-Suir added; “With over 40 years experience in the travel industry between the three of us, being ‘dream-makers’ for our customers is the best job in the world. Running our own travel businesses from home means we can be there for our customers at a time convenient to them, going above and beyond to offer a level of personalised travel service that cannot be matched online or in a high street shop. We would like to thank all our customers in Tipperary and North Waterford for supporting our businesses so far and we encouraging them to get involved in this latest campaign for the chance to make their dream trip a reality and win the experience of a lifetime.”

The winning dream entry will be announced in September this year. For more information or to discuss your future travel plans please contact Nicola Norris on 052 6136886, Rosemary Chawke on 052 61 29812 or Lynne Keane on 051 640879
