Set the style on Ladies Day with help from stylist Paula

If you fancy picking up some style tips and learning how to look chic at the races, then a pre-derby style evening in Cashel's Cashel Palace Hotel is just what you are looking for.

Paula McGann is launching her new style coaching business with the event - a company that she started with a little thanks to inspiration in the pages of The Nationalist!

Interested in fashion and art from a young age, Cashel-woman Paula finally started out on her dream job with the help of June Molony style and life coach in Rosegreen, who publishes an occasional column in The Nationalist - where Paula discovered her and got in touch with her. "June gave me the confidence I needed to push myself as a stylist. I decided to concentrate on the racing aspect mainly as racing is an integral part of my life through my partner of six years jockey Seamus Heffernan," Paula explained.

"At a young age I found a love for fashion through art in school, I went on to study Art, Craft and Design in St John's in Cork and then Media in Limerick but realised after I completed the course my love of styling and fashion were over-taking everything else. After countless hours scouting through magazines and constantly being asked for fashion advice I decided to concentrate on fashion. "I worked with a retail company 'Noname' after college and merchandised their shops and windows for all 14 stores around Ireland, I took part in fashion shows and styling days."

This week Paula is in London where she has been given an opportunity to work with Faye Marriott from Vogue magazine. Faye, who owns 'Style Aware,' an award-winning fashion academy in London, has over 10 years industry experience, having worked with Vogue (UK, China, Spain, USA, Japan), Marie Claire, Stella Magazine, The Saturday Times, Harper's Bazaar and Esquire to name but a few.

On her return from London the up and coming stylist and personal shopper has organised a pre-derby night on Saturday, June 19 at 7.30pm. The event will be held in the Cashel Palace Hotel, Cashel, and the evening will include styling tips from Paula such as 'How to dress for the races on a budget, 'what to wear and what not to wear to the races', 'how to customize the clothes that already in your wardrobe' and 'how to dress for your shape'. Paula's style is all about bringing back that elegant touch that racing is so renowned for but bringing a modern twist to each style.

In the coming weeks the high point of the flat racing seasons in the UK and Ireland are approaching, the Epsom and Irish Derbies. With Paula's advice you too can look like the winner of a lady's day crown!

A raffle will take place during the event in which all proceeds will go to the injured jockeys fund one of the prizes will a designer handbag and two tickets to the derby and many more. For further Information you can contact Paula on (087)9747689 or June Molony on (087)9352773 or the Cashel Palace on (062)62707.

Paula is also available for style parties with catering and personal shopping.

"My goal is also to make Tipperary like Kildare with more emphasis on the racing aspect of things and to promote Tipperary as a top racing county as we have a huge centrepiece here with top class training and horse breeding such as Coolmore stud, Ballydoyle stables, Tommy Stack, David Wachman and many more. People don’t realise we have the crme de la crme when it comes to racing," Paula said.

Paula had a great start to her life as a style coach when she was interviewed by Tracy Piggott at the Guineas Festival at the Curragh. Paula’s day got even better when she was nominated for best dressed lady.

At the upcoming Cashel style event Paula will also have new, fresh and upcoming designers showcasing their work alongside her, such as:

Curran - also a boutique owner of Mademoiselle’s in Naas, Barbara's background in designing and manufacturing also led her to have her own label, 'Mademoiselle', using the Chanel fabrics, in the traditional roll collar and round neck, a must have for any lady who is serious about her clothes.
