A little magic for the Active Retired!

Our monthly meeting was held in the McAuley room on Wednesday, February 6.

There was a very good attendance which included four or five new members who were made very welcome indeed.

Our speaker for the meeting was Pakie Burke magician! And he certainly was an excellent magician.

Red handkerchiefs disappeared or changed colour, plain paper became euro or sterling notes in the wink of an eye. No one could see how it was done. His contribution to the meeting was enjoyed and appreciated by all.

Our social/dance will be held on Wednesday, February 20, in Cahir House Hotel at 2pm.

This, no doubt, will be another entertaining evening.

The following are the results of the cards played on Friday, February 8: First, with 11 games, Bridget Fanning, Mary Fitzgerald, Margaret Quinlan, Redmond Burke. Lucky Table Tom Morrissey, Sean McGill, Breda Ryan, Rena O’Connor.

Raffle: Lexie Sheehan, Margaret Quinlan

Next game will be on Friday, February 15, in the McAuley Room.
