The Ryan School of Music classical summer recital takes place on Sunday, May 18 at 3.30pm in the Simon Ryan Theatre, Excel, Tipperary Town.
The concert welcomes special guest classical Hungarian cellist Livia Nagy who has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral cellist in Ireland, Hungary and New York Livia has appeared in the Great Hall of Liszt Academy, the Palace of Arts in Budapest, the National Concert Hall Dublin, the University Concert Hall Limerick and the Irish Arts Center in New York and has worked together with numerous orchestras including: Liszt Ferenc Chamber Orchestra, Dohnányi Symphony Orchestra, Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra in Hungary, Academos Strings, Limerick Choral Union Orchestra and the University of Limerick Orchestra. Livia has recently performed for Irish President Michael D Higgins and will now be performing along side our own classical musical talent here in Tipperary Town. This Classical Summer Recital will have featured artists from the County Tipperary Ryan Youth Orchestra, The Michael John String Quartet, The RSM Junior String Orchestra and students of the Ryan School of Music.
