St. Mary’s Choral Society are back in rehearsals tonight Wednesday 23rd January for their April production Jekyll and Hyde, based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. This classic tale of good and evil, with music by Frank Wildhorn and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse, features such wonderful musical numbers as ‘This is the Moment’, ‘Someone Like You’ and ‘Once Upon a Dream’.
This exciting production which is being staged for the first time in Clonmel will be directed by Michael O’Donoghue with musical direction by Fergal Carroll.
The society would be delighted to welcome members old and new for what promised to be an wonderful production. We will also be announcing our programme of events for the remainder of the 2012/2013 season which will include many exciting projects for our members to get involved in, so even if you do not plan on being involved in Jekyll and Hyde, please come along tonight to hear what we have planned, as there will be surely something to interest you all. As is usual policy the society will not be holding open auditions for Jekyll and Hyde. The society has a policy of casting its productions within the society if at all possible, so anyone wishing to audition will have to attend rehearsals prior to auditions, details of which will be announced at the first rehearsal.
