Fundraising gig for Clonmel Arts Centre this Friday night

This coming Friday night, January 25, South Tipperary Arts Centre will have a brilliant Gig as a fundraiser for the Centre, from Trad to Folk, Rock to Pop!

This coming Friday night, January 25, South Tipperary Arts Centre will have a brilliant Gig as a fundraiser for the Centre, from Trad to Folk, Rock to Pop!

The musicians giving their music free are the `Woebegones’, musicians Tom Kenna, Seamus Hayes, Mary Nugent and Michelle Nugent and `Von Trapp’ who will play for the Pre Gig. Doors open at 8 p.m. NO COVER CHARGE just DONATIONS Please (silent if possible but no IOUs!)

The Arts Centre had a huge attendance of over 80 at `Cluain’ Artists’ Exhibition `Springtime of Hope’ on last Thursday night which was officially launched by Mayor Billy Shoer to whom we are most grateful! The Exhibition will continue, Arts Centre hours, Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day and Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m. up to and including Friday 15th. February. FREE ADMITTANCE.

Children’s after school Art/Craft classes will recommence on this coming Wednesday, January 23 for 6 to 10 year olds at 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday for the tiny tots,from 3 years up at 12.30 to 1. 30 p.m.

Friday After School class will restart February 1 at 4 p.m. to 5.p.m. All classes in the Arts Centre for Children and Adults will run right up to Easter. Booking essential. Contact Reception at 0526127877 or email reception@southtipparts.com

Adult Art Class with Ann Brennan will start on this Thursday at 10. 30.a.m. to 12. 30 p.m. and run up to Easter. Contact Ann at 0863292086

Wednesday morning Art/Craft Gathering has commenced and artists and and craftsworkers are welcome on any Wednesday morning from 10. 30 a.m. for the get together for the princely sum of €3

There will be a Watercolour Course, another fundraiser for the Arts Centre, by Ray Osborn, Artist, who will give his services free to the Arts Centre. The Course will commence in February. Please note this is not a totally Beginners class - some knowledge of painting is required. All details re dates and cost can be got by dropping into the Arts Centre at Nelson St., Clonmel. A deposit of €30 is required to book a place on this course.

Beginners Flower Arranging course will commence in February as will the Crochet class and the Sewing and Alteration class for Adults. Booking essential.
