There are 53 showing classes listed for horses and ponies, with classes for ridden and led horses, working hunters, brood mares and foals also ridden, lead rein, led and working hunter ponies and miniature horses

This year’s show will again feature the Coolmore €1100 Thoroughbred Broodmare class for T.B.

Broodmares, likely to produce a racehorse, with or without a foal to be judged on conformation alone, also two foal classes for the progeny of the mares entered in the broodmare class. Five classes for Miniature horses are also listed in the prize schedule. There will be classes for coloured horses and best ridden cob. This year there will be two ridden classes for retired racehorses, an open class and a retraining class. The horse and pony classes include many I.S.A. and I.P.S. qualifiers for All Ireland

Finals, which will be judged at various venues later this year. Information about the horse and pony showing classes and the horse jumping competitions can be obtained from Eddie O’Gorman at 052 6122976 (7-10pm).

The horse jumping programme will feature a 4 year old Jumping Performance Class, a €2500 Munster Grand Prix, two graded events and an amateur competition for A&AA competitors. There will be seven pony jumping competitions.
