Award winning Ballyneale film maker Tommy Fitzpatrick is appealing for the public to give the second episode of the new drama series he is involved with their vote in a RTE online competition.

Tommy Fitzpatrick is location manager and one of the production assistants working on the RTE Storyland 2012 production, “Cuckoo”, a psychological thriller in four parts, the first episode of which was broadcast in February on RTE’s YouTube page and made it through in the public vote for the shooting of a second episode.

The screening of the new episode of Cuckoo and the second round of public voting in the competition is taking place throughout this week. Voting closes on Sunday, March 25.

“The new episode will feature the appearance of one of the story’s central characters, played by Denise McCormack, who won the IFTA for Best Supporting Actress last month for her role in the RTÉ series Love/Hate,” explained Tommy Fitzpatrick.

“She will feature as Tina Vickers, the mother of the little girl that disappeared all those years ago in the story,” added the Ballyneale man, who thanked everyone who voted for Cuckoo in the first round of the final.

People wishing to view “Cuckoo” and vote for the show in the RTE Storyland competition can do so by logging onto the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/cuckoo.storyland?ref=ts or the Storyland website: http://www.rte.ie/drama/featured/storyland/
