Written by historian and former deputy principal of the college, Dr. Seán O’Donnell, it traces the story of Rockwell from its foundation in 1864 by the French Holy Ghost Fathers, also known as Spiritans, firstly as a junior seminary for the education of priests for Scotland and for the missions of the Holy Ghost Fathers throughout the world and secondly as a well-known secondary school.

The history will be launched in Rockwell at 7.00 pm by the Chancellor of the National University of Ireland, Dr. Maurice Manning, who is himself a past student and all are welcome. The book costs €25 and is available in bookshops.
