Local playwright Paul Maher returns to the Excel at the end of September with a new comedy. Angel Dust and Dallas is set in a parochial house in Ireland of the early 1990s.

It features a scheming sacristan and priest’s housekeeper gone to the bad on angel dust and Dallas, a PP with a secret love child, his innocent eejit of a curate, a bonkers Garda who believes in the Resurrection of Elvis, a very sexy nun who taunts the poor curate to distraction and another nun who is seriously deranged and has one very, very odd theory about Lazarus.

The seven characters in the play are characterized by two highly accomplished professional actors Aine Ryan from Upperchurch, (Edinburgh Festival 2014) and Irene Kelleher (Fair City, Game of Thrones). The play opens in Donohill on Thursday, September 25. The Source on Friday, September 26 and at The Excel on Saturday 27. Other venues include- Clonmel, Nenagh and Carrick-on-Suir.
