Final preparations are underway for Carrick-on-Suir’s first Culture Night this Friday.

Free events include an exhibition of youth mobile photography on the theme of ‘Things I Love About Carrick-on-Suir’ and art, craft and young enterprise demonstrations at the Tudor Artisan Hub at 42 Main St.

Brewery Lane Theatre will screen the short film, ‘Lackendarra’, about the hermit of the Comeraghs between 5 - 9pm and host a photographs and memorabilia exhibition called “Things I Miss About Carrick-on-Suir”. Margaret O’Brien will teach a writing workshop at the Nano Nagle Centre from 4 - 6pm and there will be an evening of poetry and song with Grace Wells and Pete MacGowan in the Centre’s Chapel at 7.30pm.
