The Clonmel Concert Band was formed in 2011 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Banna Chluain Meala.

The band is made up almost exclusively of former Banna members.

The band was such a success that they decided to keep the group together and rehearse regularly under the directorship of Danny Carroll.

Many members travel from out of town to rehearse and they are delighted to be playing once again at the Carol Service at Old St. Mary’s Church, Mary Street, Clonmel on this Friday, December 20.

The service, which is always a very enjoyable evening, commences at 7.30pm and all are welcome. Another popular Yuletide musical event is 12.30 Mass on Christmas Day at Ss Peter and Paul’s, at which Banna Chluain Meala perform.
