Cashel Lions Club were very happy with the public support they received for their fashion show, which was held in Brú Ború on Wednesday last.
As club president, Seamus King, said at the end of the show, they got wonderful support from the public, the traders and the models, who excelled themselves.
The one professional model in the line up was Pippa O’Connor and she went down a treat, modelling eight outfits in all.
The Lions are extremely thankful to the traders who supported the show. These included Daverns, Uptown Girl, Kilkenny Shop, Chapeaux a le Mode, Golden Threads, Born, She, Jaruso, Susan Shortall’s Fascinators as well as Frocks on the Rocks and they showed wonderful selections from their spring collections.
One of the highlights of the evening was a raffle with eight outstanding prizes, which was very well supported by all the patrons. Another highlight was a prize for the best-dressed person, sponsored by Coral Cleaners, and this was won by Suzanne Brosnan, wearing and understated black dress with gold rib and pockets.
No show succeeds without plenty of preparation and the Lions were lucky in their organising committee of members, Patricia Quirke, Olivia McLoughlin and Olivia Woodlock, aided by the professional expertise of June Moloney.
