RTÉ has revealed the full list of well-known personalities who will champion each of the ten paintings featured in the search for Ireland’s Favourite Painting.

RTÉ has revealed the full list of well-known personalities who will champion each of the ten paintings featured in the search for Ireland’s Favourite Painting.

Brendan O’Carroll, Pat Shortt, Joe Duffy, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Mary O’Rourke and Adi Roche will be seen on RTÉ in the coming weeks making their case for their painting of choice in the Masterpiece campaign.

Clonmel woman Adi Roche will make the case for the late Louis Le Brocquy’s’A Family’.

The campaign to find Ireland’s Favourite Painting, which began last week and will culminate on 24 May when President Michael D Higgins announces the winner, has already generated much interest, drawing over 61,000 visits in its first week to the www.rte.ie/masterpiece website where the public can see the shortlist of ten paintings and vote for their favourite.
