Mayor to launch ‘Photos from your Phone’

The launch of the Photos From Your Phone exhibition by the Mayor, Pat English will take place in the South Tipperary Arts Centre in Nelson Street, Clonmel this evening (Wednesday, January 22) at 7pm.

The presentation of prizes will also take place at the launch of the exhibition and all those teenagers and pre- teens who entered are invited to come along with their parents.

The exhibition will run until Saturday, February 22 and is open during Arts Centre hours - Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free. Paintings by South Tipperary Art Group (STAG) members can be viewed upstairs in the studio any day from 12.30 to 4pm.

The New Year has commenced in the Arts Centre with Pastels for adults, beginners and improvers with Mary Brigid on this Wednesday night from 7 to 8.30 for six weeks. The cost is €15 per class or €75 full payment. Art materials are included. Classes are ongoing, please contact reception if you wish to join.

Classes commencing in February include a Watercolour Class, intermediate and advanced only, with Ray Osborn, on Tuesday mornings from 10.30 to 12.30 commencing on Tuesday, February 4. €120 is the full payment.

Sewing Classes, beginners to advanced, with Lesley, will be held on Wednesday mornings from 10.30 to 12.30 commencing on February 5 for six weeks. The cost is €12 per class or €66 full payment.

Crochet/knitting class for beginners to advanced with Lesley will be held on Wednesday mornings from 10.30 to 12. 30 starting on February 6 for six weeks. The cost is €12 per class or €66 full payment.

Oil/Acrylic painting classes with Ann Brennan will be held on Thursday mornings from 10.30 to 12.30 from February 13 for 6 weeks. Contact Ann at 086-3292086.

A Beginners painting class with Julie will be held from Thursday night, February 13 from 7 to 8.30 for six weeks. The cost is €12 per class or €66 full payment.

Children’s classes include a Friday after-school art/craft class from 4pm to 5pm for 7 to 10 year-olds with Elke. The cost is €9 per class or €50 full payment.

A Saturday art/craft class for 4 to 6/7 year olds with Elke takes place from 12.30 to 1.30. The cost is €9 per class or €50 full payment. Contact reception for more details.
