Division 3: 

Clonmel travelled to Ashton to take on Ashton in one of their four remaining games of the league. The match was slow starting in the first half, with Barbara Ryan breaking the Ashton defence first. However Ashton retaliated with a score from a short corner. Jessica Ryan was next to break the score line for clonmel but again Ashton scored back. In the second half, Clonmel upped their game considerably with Marie Mulcahy powering ahead to score a hattrick. Three very impressive goals flicked into the corner of the net. Kate o’Sullivan and Jenny O’Brien remained consistently strong in defence.

Final score clonmel 5 – Ashton 2, The league is really heating up for Clonmel now.

Division 5 

Division 5 travelled to Dungarvan on sat to take on Dungarvan on the grit pitch. This was a tough game for the entire match. Andrea O’Dea in sweeper and Ciara Hartigan in gaols made great clearances throughout the game. Anne Marie Brown was outstanding in covering left mid. Amy O’sullivan played a fantastic game covering many gaps on the pitch. Pamela Ryan in the forward line made many nice touches that unfortunately did not result in Clonmel breaking the score line. Final Score Dungarvan 1 – Clonmel 0

This was Clonmel’s last outing of the season. It was a well-played season that left Clonmel 3rd place in the league and only 1 point off promotion. Well done to all.
