The O’Keeffes Comedy Club, Clonmel is delighted to host the world class Canadian comic Glenn Wool and supported by New Zealander Danny Dowling this Thursday, July 21. Glenn and Danny were seen on the RTE show “Stand and Deliver” this year and their brand of cynical wise cracking style always go down well in Ireland and the UK.
Danny Dowling is a New Zealander living in Galway who turns a foreigners eye on funny Irish mannerisms to great effect. This promises to be the Comedy Club show of the year.
The best description of Glenn is a cross between Jack Black and Meatloaf. If you think that sounds funny then you are right and you should not miss this brilliant comedian.
Glenn’s been travelling the globe and performing in 2011, with it culminating in him going to the Edinburgh Fringe after a year away to bring us tales in his own hilarious and distinctive style about his journeys, in “No Lands Man”.
This year Glenn’s world domination tour has already taken in the US, Sweden, Australia making his debut at Sydney Comedy Festival, heading to the Lowlands Festival in Holland and working on a new TV show with “Flight of the Conchords”, Rhys Darby. He’s also a popular addition to many of the great summer music Festivals in the UK, including Reading & Leeds, Bestival, Download and of course Glastonbury.
