Primary school pupils launch seasonal CD

The busy pupils of St. Joseph’s Primary School have just completed a new and novel idea- they have made a Christmas CD featuring every pupil in the school. The CD will be launched at the school on Wednesday, December 7 and will then be for sale at the school for €10 with all proceeds to school funds and classroom resources.

Two years ago the school made their first Christmas CD and this featured the school choir in classes 4th, 5th & 6th. This year all classes were involved in the venture.

Resident choir teacher Ms. Helen Colbert, assisted class teachers in rehearsals and after many takes, mixes and re-runs Joe Gallagher from Gaff Studios recorded the final CD.

The CD is expected to do very well selling to family, friends and the many Tipp Town folk who know how well the girls at St. Josephs can sing. Indeed there is much talk about which song is favoured to be the Number One requested song on Tipp’s radio stations this Christmas. Tracks on the CD include infants singing, ‘We Wish You A Merry Christmas’ and a unique version of ‘Santa Claus Is Coming To Town’. Other classes sing favourites

So well done once again to all at St. Josephs in making this wonderful CD that would make a lovely present for any music lover this Christmas.
