Brian Cullivan is a recent past pupil of Scoil Chormaic.

He graduated last year and was always a great enthusiast of music, singing and drama. Whilst in Scoil Chormaic, Brian regularly played a major role in the annual Christmas show, and would always display his natural talents for acting and singing with great enthusiasm and energy. Brian competed in the second round of the “X factor” auditions held in Croke park in 2010. He has sung for communion celebrations within the school, and also sang the Irish rugby song “Irelands call” as the opener for a fund raiser rugby match, between Munster and the Michael Lynagh select teams in Cashel rugby club last spring.

Brian has also recently competed in the finals of the “Top teen idol” which took place in Cahir house hotel.

On leaving school Brian has continued his singing lessons and he wanted to give something back to his school. He set about recording a CD which was completed some months ago. A launch night for his CD was organised in the Horse and Hound pub in Dualla, and a very entertaining and enjoyable night was had by all.

Brian donated the proceeds of the night to Scoil Chormaic.

It must be said that Brian’s parents Tony and Maire, and his family have been a constant and encouraging support, all the way in his music and singing endeavours. They wanted to pass on a very special thanks to Sean O’ Donovan, Seamus Barry and Anne Barry for their huge support and help, especially on the CD launch night. Brian also wanted to give a special thanks to Mrs. Shannon, principal of Scoil Chormaic, Mrs.Nugent his teacher and all the staff of Scoil Chormaic.
