Photo competition for teens and pre-teens at South Tipp Arts Centre

Photos from my Phone, a free photo competition/exhibition for teenagers and pre-teens (10 to 12 years) is now running in the South Tipp Arts Centre in Nelson Street, Clonmel.

Call into the centre after school or on Saturdays and download your favourite photos from your phone.

Gareth in the Arts Centre will print the photos on special paper and put them on display boards for the exhibition in January. State of the art phones are available to be won as prizes, courtesy of Clonmel Rotary Club and Clonmel Credit Union. Pick up a booklet from the Arts Centre and learn about cyber bullying and copyright.

The two exhibitions at the Arts Centre, Abstract Reality by Cathy Walsh, Scoil Mhuire, Carrick-on-Suir and Memoirs of my Travels, an exhibition supporting mental health by Tom Fitzgerald, Clonmel have been extended by public demand to Tuesday. November 12. The downstairs gallery is open from 10am to 5pm daily through lunch and on Saturday from 12 noon to 4pm. The studio upstairs is open from 12.30 daily from Tuesday to Friday and Saturday from 1.30 to 4pm. Admission to both exhibitions is free.

Children’s classes at the centre on Fridays and Saturdays are continuing for the autumn. All Adult classes are ongoing and you can join in at anytime.
