Golden and Thomastown pupils present ‘Oliver’

Golden and Thomastown National Schools join forces to produce what promises to be a fantastic version of the world famous musical Oliver, bringing vividly to life Dickens’ timeless Victorian characters with its ever-popular story of the boy who asked for more,

Lionel Bart’s sensational score includes Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah, As Long As He Needs Me and many more.

The part of Oliver will be played by Eoghan Tegerdine with Aaron Griffin Donnelly taking on the role of the likeable rogue, the Artful Dodger. Richie Crowe is cast in the role of Fagin with Kayleigh Ryan (Nancy), Niall Hogan (Mr. Bumble) and Andy Byrnes (Bill Sykes) also central to the storyline.

All children from 1st to 6th in each school are involved so a fun filled, toe tapping night is assured.

The show will be staged on Wednesday 16th, Friday 18th and Saturday 19th January at 8 p.m. nightly in the GAA Hall, Golden.
