Launch Of Arts Fest Brochure
Cashel Arts Fest 2013 is almost here! For ten days beginning on Friday, November 8, all interests and ages will be catered for in a broad range of events from wonderful family entertainment to special interest art forms, from choral master classes to readings with acclaimed author John Boyne.

Cashel Arts Fest 2013 is almost here! For ten days beginning on Friday, November 8, all interests and ages will be catered for in a broad range of events from wonderful family entertainment to special interest art forms, from choral master classes to readings with acclaimed author John Boyne.

Launch at Rugby Club
On Saturday next, October 26, the festival committee will launch their brochure at 4.30pm in Cashel Rugby Club - a fitting venue when one of the main events of this year’s programme is the hugely entertaining not to be missed play ‘Alone it Stands’ on November 15 and 16 in Brú Ború. 
Brochures will be available in venues around town and the surrounding areas giving details of all events. This may also be viewed on line at www.cashelartsfest.com

Talks

In addition to John Boyne who will read in the library at the opening of the Festival on Friday, and for young listeners on Saturday, Niall de Búrca, Storyteller will feature on Friday, November 15.

Sunday Miscellany

A live recording of the RTE radio show from St. John the Baptist Cathedral will take place at 3pm on Sunday, November 10, and will feature some local writers and music. Other musical events will include Four in a Bar who are on a return visit due to popular demand and they will join forces with the festival choir who will showcase the work produced at the master classes given by Martin Barrett, assistant director of Cork School of Music.

Ian Fox will share his passion for composers in a talk entitled ‘The Prettiest Girl in Vienna’ on Saturday evening, November 9, in the Cashel Palace Hotel which is also the venue for international artist Sasha Sykes whose work will feature from November 2 to 17. Rockwell College, who this year are celebrating their 150th anniversary, will exhibit art and artefacts in recognition of this significant milestone.

The Create Café will be open daily in the Heritage Centre, Main Street from November 8, where numerous workshops will take place and tickets may be booked.
