The curtain comes down on a great year of music at Crocanoir when Mendocino come to the boreen’s end on Thursday next, December 13.
MENDOCINO are a Folk/Country Band who weave a spell of wizardry across a variety of musical genres.
They were formed in 2010 by former Hank Halfhead, Swinging Swine and Glee Club fiddler and singer Hugh O’Carroll and long-time collaborator Evan Grace a much acclaimed multi-instrumentalist and singer from Co Kilkenny.
The two boys enlisted the help of two well known musicians Steven Haberlin and Peter Vogelaar, and legendary producer Dave Odlum to record their debut album, ‘The Steep Ravine’ which received rave reviews and garnered the band alot of attention at home and abroad.
Hugh and Evan invited an old friend and accomplished musician and singer Ryland Teifi to tour with them straight after the release of their album and this combination has become an awesome phenomenon!
Ryland is an award winning Welsh singer/songwriter who himself had just released the excellent ‘Last of the Old Men’
Mendocino have been touring Ireland and Wales as a three-piece for the last year to great acclaim and are writing a new album together to be recorded next year
Support on the night will be a very talented young singer guitarist Kevin Garland from Nenagh
Kevin really impressed at a recent talent competition and we are delighted to welcome him to Crocanoir
Concert starts at 8 pm - tickets 086-8907329
John, Monika and Sean Bermingham would like to thank everyone who has supported their efforts to bring top class performers to their farmyard theatre.
