Following on from last years Graces of Lisheen, Paul Maher’s Tipp town based Dreamtime Theatre are back with another summer show, The Farmer of Lisheen, inspired by the songs of Joe Dolan, chocolate chip cookies and trashy romantic novels.

The Farmer of Lisheen calls to the lovely young widow of his recently deceased best friend hoping to collect an outstanding debt. But in time honoured fashion, matters of the heart get in the way and we discover Lisheen to be a place where as a consequence of chocolate chip cookies and trashy romantic novels, everyone seems to be a smouldering torment of lust and unbridled desire. Throw in a few Joe Dolan favourites, and it all adds up to an intoxicating mix of song, music, comedy and drama. The show plays in The Marian Hall, Tipperary, July 18 and 19, 3pm matinee on July 20, Donohill July 27 and Fethard in August. Three of the cast from last year, Matthew Ryan W. Edel O’Driscoll and Josephine O’Dwyer are in this show and they are joined by newcomers Sean Coffey and Oliver O’Driscoll. Information from Paul Maher 087 4135228.
