A new year for the Tipperary Singers begins next Monday, September 23 at 7.45pm in the Community Centre in St. Michael’s Street, Tipperary.
It is the 42nd year of the choir, quite a record, and there is always a call for new members especially as the new season begins.
“The Choir is one big team of joyful song,” said Musical Director Betty Lynch. “There is nothing more uplifting than to sing together in a group. It is also very therapeutic to breathe deeply, expand the lungs and find your own true voice. This can be a most rewarding experience and fun. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the choir together with great friendship and loyalty.”
The choir sings at events to raise money for communities and people in need both locally and abroad. Their motto is ‘to sing for joy’ and in so doing raise much needed funds. Already the annual Christmas Concert in Aherlow House Hotel is on the agenda for December 8, 2013.Treat yourself to an evening of song every Monday night as a member of the Tipperary Singers. You are guaranteed a very warm welcome.
