The curtain will rise at the Simon Ryan Theatre, Tipperary Excel for the Premier Late Late Show on Saturday, September 28.

This unique and special gathering of Tipperary stars and sporting heroes will be hosted by Fran Curry.

Based on RTE’s famous show, Tipp FM broadcaster Fran Curry will host and interview a selection of some of Tipperary’s successful and well-known people.

As part of the fundraising efforts on the night of the show some fantastic prizes have been secured for the raffle, which include a weekend for two at the Village at Lyons, Co. Kildare, one of Ireland’s premier luxury destinations. The venue is just one of Tony Ryan’s superb legacies.

Ballydoyle Racing Stables have very kindly donated a large signed framed picture of Joseph O’Brien winning last year’s English Derby on the Champion 3 year-old Colt Camelot, trained by his father Aidan O’Brien.

Ireland’s Aviator, the recently published biography on Tony Ryan, will also have a Tipperary launch on the night.

Kerry Ryan, daughter of the late Simon Ryan and niece of Tony Ryan, commenting on this special edition to the Premier Late Late Show line-up, said “It is both fitting and poignant the biography will have a launch in Tipperary, the place of Tony’s birth and location of the Simon Ryan Theatre, which he co-funded and named after his brother Simon”.

Kell Ryan, brother of both Tony and Simon, will launch the biography.

Friends of the Simon Ryan Theatre are working hard to have a little goodie bag for everybody in the audience.

Tickets cost €20, with concession tickets for OAPs and students costing €15. Book your tickets early by calling the theatre box office at 062-80520; dropping into the Tipperary Excel Arts Centre; log onto www.tipperary-excel.com or ring June Molony, Friends of the Simon Ryan Theatre at 087-9352773.
