Cashel’s Brú Ború traditional group will give a gala performance in the Hilton Hotel, New Jersey, on Saturday, April 26.
The 20-strong group will spend a week in the Parsippany area and share their talents in workshops with up-and-coming musicians from the USA and Canada at the North American Convention of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.
Brú Ború is one of the most traveled groups in Ireland having performed in China, Japan, Britain, Spain, Italy, Prague, Singapore, Germany, Zambia, Lesotho, Mozambique and for the Sultan of Oman.
The group has also performed for such celebrities as the President of the Untied States, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jnr. and Liza Minelli. Wherever they perform, they are credited with carrying the names of Cashel and Ireland with distinction.
The home base of Brú Ború at the foot of the Rock of Cashel, where a new Sounds of History experience was recently opened by Minister Jimmy Deenihan, is a mecca for cultural enthusiasts from all over the world. It is also a popular venue for local and touring performers.
When Brú Ború returns from America, it will commence preparations for the summer season. This oasis of culture, with its many attractions, has been enjoyed by thousands of visitors from all over the world where they are assured of the very best of Irish talent.
