The Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) hosted a Gala Evening of Music and Song at Ballykisteen Hotel last Friday to raise funds for the range of services provided by the South Tipperary IWA. The audience enjoyed beautiful music by the Courtyard Choir from Cork.

“One of our service users Mary Harney came up with the idea for this fundraiser and asked her friend, Musical Director Ger Dunne to organise this concert,” explained Tipperary Town IWA Don Campbell. “It’s a busy time for us. We’re operating seven days a week, we’ve got a new housing project in Cashel and we’re opening up a new charity shop in Tipp Town.”

Josephine Hennessey on behalf of the IWA wishes to thank all who supported the event, the sponsors of the raffle prizes and The Courtyard choir Cork.

If you would like to donate goods to the new charity shop contact the IWA, Cashel Road, Tipperary town on: 062 52744.
