Artist Sasha Sykes has used both man-made and organic material such as mosses and straw to reflect the local landscape and interpret the role the walls of the town played in our history. Cashel Arts Fest officially opens this Friday night and continues until Sunday, November 17. The Arts Festival committee tries each year to cater for all interests and age groups and provide a quality entertainment programme giving a boost to the town both economically and culturally. Many events are free or keenly priced so pick up a copy of the festival programme and book your tickets as soon as possible. This weekend the programme includes readings from author John Boyne, Ian Fox in the Cashel Palace, workshops, Sunday Miscellany in St. John’s Cathedral.
