Do you need training, education and access to employment? If so, The National Learning Network Clonmel is inviting you to take part in an Open Day to experience the Computer Applications & Office Skills programme on Thursday 21st March 2013 from 10am to 2pm.
In education and the current job market having computer and office skills has become more important than ever. The aim of the computer applications & office skills programme is to equip students with the skills in computer applications and general office skills needed to access further education or employment. The programme is designed to be flexible and an individual training plan is developed to suit each student. Students of the programme undertake several modules such as basic concepts of IT, Word Processing, Internet and Emails, and Presentations. Past students have been highly successful in further education or finding employment. Students work at their own pace, with specialist support for those who need help with literacy, numeracy or career planning.
The National Learning Network Clonmel has over 50 students availing of its courses in its purpose built training centre on the Western Road. The courses available here are Computer and Office Skills, Employer Based Training ( EBT) and Options.
EBT is an innovative training programme that allows people to train in an employer’s business or company while still enjoying all the supports that exist in the training centre. EBT works on the principle that the student chooses the training option best suited to them and National Learning Network facilitates that choice. The student will spend three days a week with the employer and two days a week in the centre to achieve Level 4 Certification. The Options training programme is based in-centre and covers a wide range of educational opportunities at Level 3.
This Computer Applications & Office Skills Open Day will give people the chance to sample the course and decide if it is the right for them. It will take place in the National Learning Network Centre on the Western Road, Clonmel on Thursday 21st March 2013. For more information or to book your place, contact the National Learning Network on (052) 6181555 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
