Tipperary Credit Union committed to the local community it has supported over the last 46 years.
On October 17, 2013, Tipperary Credit Union will join Credit Unions from around the world to celebrate International Credit Union Day®, an annual event which commemorates the credit union movement’s impact and achievements. In honour of this special day, Tipperary Credit Union invites its members and the entire community to a special Mass in the Convent Chapel, Tipperary Town at 7pm and a FREE fun table quiz in Leahy’s bar Davis Streeet, Tipperary at 9pm. Tables of four with €1000 worth of prizes to be won including spot prizes.
Established in 1967 Tipperary Credit Union has been serving the people of Tipperary for 46 years. Despite Ireland’s financial difficulties, Tipperary Credit Union remains committed to working within this community and supporting local people and business as it always has done.
Since 1948, International Credit Union Day has been celebrated annually on the third Thursday of October. Each year, the international event affords the opportunity to remember credit unions’ proud history and promote awareness of and support for the credit union difference. This year’s theme, “Credit Unions Unite for Good: A Better Way,” emphasises the benefits of cooperation among credit unions worldwide. It also speaks to the powerful global network of 56,000 credit unions, which no other financial institution can claim, and the advantages that result from sharing challenges, experiences and solutions with one another to better serve members.
