Taoiseach Enda Kenny has opened a new €100m research and development centre at the Merck Sharp and Dohme pharmaceutical plant in South Tipperary
Construction on the new R&D facility at the existing Ballydine site between Clonmel and Carrick-on-Suir began in September
2007 and since then 70 new high calibre roles have been created. It is anticipated that this number could increase to 120 as further innovative medicines are developed at MSD in Ballydine.
