Clonmel company JRE Group has announced its closure, with the loss of 142 jobs.

Clonmel company JRE Group has announced its closure, with the loss of 142 jobs.

At its peak the company, which was founded in the town in 1995, employed up to 350 people in Ireland and the UK.

There has been widespread shock in the town and local TD Tom Hayes described it as a “black day” for South Tipperary.
